Poetic Summit
‘Hansi Ke Bulbule’   

“Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.”
To stimulate the imagination of the children and to enable them to give it a better shape, Delhi Public School, Jaipur organized Hindi poem recitation competition, ‘Hansi Ke Bulbule’ for the students of class V on 22nd August, 2019.It is a stepping stone for the young students to develop their verbal skills and to boost their confidence. The students recited humorous poems which brought a smile on every face.The competition provided the students with an opportunity to exhibit their talent through their humorous poems and also proved that laughter is the best medicine.

    Magazine Front-MS Word designing activity was organized for the students of class IV at Delhi Public School, Jaipur on August 22, 2019. As creativity is a crucial aspect of any personality, children exhibited their creativity by designing a magazine cover on the famous personalities from sports, IT, freedom fighters and authors. They used MS Word software to design the magazine front. A wide variety of images related to the topic were provided. At the same time students were also tested through a worksheet. All the students participated enthusiastically along with competitive spirit.


      Math in Our Surrounding   

      “The process of learning is complete if our sense of hearing is accompanied by our sense of sight.”

      Learning mathematics can be made easier and enjoyable if it includes activities and games. To encourage an alert and open minded attitude amongst our dipsites of grade 3 and to help them develop clarity in their thinking, various activities related to Math in our surroundings were conducted in Delhi Public School, Vidhyadhar Nagar on 22 August 2019.The kids understood the concept of fractions, measurement, uses of numbers in their daily life.
      The activities enhanced their problem solving skills related to their daily life situations and practical application of mathematical concepts, wherever required.

        'The greatness in a scientific or mathematical idea is the extent to which it opens up new lines of research' .

        The young Science and Mathematics enthusiasts put up a Science and Mathematics exhibition: ‘Reignited’, on 17th August, 2019, exhibiting various working and non-working models on various topics like robotics, probability, geometry, waste management, drones, generating electricity from a speed breaker, Li-Fi, space station, drip irrigation by solar energy, etc. The exhibition was inaugurated by the school Headmistress, Ms. Upma Mathur. She congratulated the young scientists and mathematicians for being innovative. 
        The parents appreciated the effort of the students and the school for cultivating the inquisitiveness through such activities.

          Fluency, erudition and articulation are the base for an exponential extempore speaker. An Inter House 'Extempore' competition was organized for the students of classes VI to VIII. It aimed at testing the participants’ ability to think creatively and their spontaneity in expressing their thoughts.
            "I walk, I look, I see, I stop, I photograph."
            The dipsites ardently followed the quote by passionately participating in an Inter House Photography Competition. The budding photographers of classes 7 and 8 reflected their artistic merit by shooting various aspects of 'nature' and 'abstract' in a novel way. The participants submitted their masterpiece along with a relevant title. The competition became a platform to discuss the technicalities of photography and to be apprised of the message that simple photos can actually reflect which otherwise no one could have thought of.
              Congratulating each Indian the school celebrated Independence Day braving the heavy shower in the morning.
              Encouraging the students to be real patriot, the school Headmistress Upma Mathur suggested the little ways to adopt in life that can hugely contribute in the nation building. 
              Considering the national festival ahead of a social festival, the school resounded with patriotic fervour with a huge presence of the students.

                Independence Day   

                Special Assembly on Independence day
                “Freedom in the mind, Faith in the words, Pride in our souls.”
                A special assembly was conducted for the students of classes 3 to 5 to celebrate the Independence Day on 13 August,2019 at Delhi Public School, Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur. Students were given information about the national flag, freedom fighters, famous slogans and significance of the Independence Day in our life to encourage the students to cherish freedom and to do something for the development of our country. The assembly ended with a patriotic song creating an atmosphere laced with patriotic undertones.


                  Green Wonders
                  Growing Own Herbs   

                  "All the flowers of Tomorrow are in the seeds of Today."
                  Planting seeds and watching them grow is one of life’s greatest reward, especially when they grow into aromatic edible plants.
                  To sensitise the children about nature and to tell them the importance of green trees and herbs in our daily life an activity Green wonders-Growing own herbs was commenced for the students of classes Pre nursery to II on 9th August 2019.
                  Students sowed seeds and planted plants with the help of their class teachers. The classes were divided into groups and they were given seeds and stem cuttings of herbs, vegetables, creepers, climbers and saplings of various fruit plants like guava, papaya, pomegranate etc.
                  This activity will encourage the children to plant more trees.


                    Special Assembly

                    Special Assembly on Idul Zuha -' Festival of Sacrifice' was organised to enlighten the students about the importance of sacrifice, generosity and humanity.
                      The Art room came alive with riots of colour and imagination as the school witnessed the Inter House Face Painting Competition for classes 6 to 8, where student artists painted their models as ‘Birds’, unleashing their hidden potential. This event created an aura of excitement among the participants. The participants painted their models as Hawk, Owl, Peacock, Macaw, Parrot, Penguin etc. with the message to spread awareness towards the avian creatures and need of the hour to save them.
                        Delhi Public School has always attempted to put more emphasis on hands-on learning and training students through various workshops. As a part of such activity, workshop session on 'Basics of Robots and Robotics' was organized for students of classes 6 to 8. The resource person was Ms. Peeyusha Sharma. She explained and demonstrated the working of a few robots. The main aim of the workshop was to build basic knowledge and create interest in robotics field.


                          ISA Project
                          Global Fruits   

                          “Learning is a treasure. It is a movement of knowing which has no beginning and no end.”
                          The Culmination Day of three months long ISA Project ‘Global Fruits: Juicilicious Way of Life’ was organized on August 5th and 6th 2019 for classes I and II. A two day activity saw an array of fruit parade, peppy fruit song, dance, a story enactment on fruits and an art and craft exhibition of fruits.
                          The activity made the students aware of national fruits and different fruits of India, China and Germany.
                          This entire project aimed to expose the students to globalization and the uniqueness of our own country.


                            Inter House   

                            An Inter House Handball Competition was organised for classes VI to VIII .The competition was organized to push the budding players further on the path of discovering their talents and strengths.

                              Inter House Dodgeball Competition for the students of Classes III to V was organized in DPS, Jaipur at its Vidhyadhar Nagar branch from 29 July,2019 to 02 August,2019 with great ardour. The competition was organized to motivate the budding players further on the path of discovering their talents and strengths. The students were like gladiators on the field. All were trying their best to take their House on the trudge of victory.

                                Inter House   

                                Inter-House Nukkad Natak competition was organised for classes 6 to 8. All Houses presented the natak based on different social issues from heritage, plastic ban, road safety, saving water to relevance of Gandhi. The activity proved not only entertaining but also informative.
                                Appreciating the students’ performance, the Headmistress Upma Mathur urged the students to follow the positive paths they have dramatized in the Nukkad Nataks.
