Food is a good way to introduce young students to a variety of countries and cultures. Benefits of teaching children to cook are many, like developing independence, awareness of healthy choices and nutrition, learning time management, communication, problem solving and collaboration.
Keeping these objectives in mind an Inter House activity “PLATTER – GLOBAL CUISINE” was organized for classes 6 to 8.
Four students from each House participated with full enthusiasm and vigour. Each House was assigned the name of one country namely U.S.A , Italy , China , Mexico , Thailand and France. The recipes were inspired by the countries given to the Houses and participants also gave interesting names to their innovative fusion recipes.
Satluj House stood First, followed by Yamuna house on second and chenab house on the third position respectively
