French Day for grades VI - VIII   ...Events

Delhi Public School , Jaipur Vidhyadhar Nagar  celebrated “La Fête Nationale” with lots of vigor and enthusiasm on 5th August 2016. The students of classes VI to VIII, with French as their optional language, put together a wonderful show, evidently to showcase their skill in speaking the language.The programme started by significance of French day and how it is celebrated in France. French poems , enactment of the French version of Goldilocks and Three Bears  and a fashion parade by the students dressed up as famous French personalities like Napoléon Bonaparte-French military man, Joan of Arc ,..etc was mesmerizing.

    Inter House Animation in Flash

    Technology is a fascination for the young minds. Keeping this in mind, an Inter House Animation in Flash was organized at Delhi Public School, Jaipur, Vidhyadhar Nagar branch on 5th August 2016 for Classes VI-VIII. Budding tech-savvies showed their creative skill in designing fabulous and colourful process of making the 
    illusion
     of 
    motion
     and change. The participants embedded the rapid display of a sequence of static images that minimally differed from each other and kept themselves engaged with the visuals. On the whole the competition was visually stimulating and pleasing.Overall result Yamuna house bagged the first position  followed by Satluj  house at the second position and Raavi house at the third  position.

      It was a day that promised the children of class nursery to II fun, food, dance and a joyride.
      The kids were very excited and took the ride with enthusiasm and smiling faces. City’s well known Pizza Hut at Ganpati Plaza was well prepared to welcome the kids starting with a welcome drink and loud music for the little ones to dance on. The teachers too joined in the dance. Having tired themselves from the dance floor the hungry tummies were then ready to devour the mouth watering pizzas and garlic bread. Though excited, the children showed excellent behaviour and mannerisms while eating.
      The kids loved every moment of the outing being with their friends on such a fun filled outing! They came out ringing the bell showing their appreciation to the staff that had served them.
      The children reached the school well in time to catch their buses.

        Inter House Food Platter Competition
        Inter House Food Platter Competition   ...Events

        Food is a good way to introduce young students to a variety of countries and cultures. Benefits of teaching children to cook are many, like developing independence, awareness of healthy choices and nutrition, learning time management, communication, problem solving and collaboration.
        Keeping these objectives in mind an Inter House activity “PLATTER – GLOBAL CUISINE” was organized for classes 6 to 8.
        Four students from each House participated with full enthusiasm and vigour. Each House was assigned the name of one country namely U.S.A , Italy , China , Mexico , Thailand and France. The recipes were inspired by the countries given to the Houses and participants also gave interesting names to their innovative fusion recipes.
        Satluj House stood  First, followed by Yamuna house on second and chenab house on the third position respectively
